A musician friend of mine who does country and folk absolutely hates Bon Iver but I can't admit to knowing off-hand any songs by him. Ed Sheeran was also floated as a possibility, but I know literally nothing about him aside from that he's friends with Taylor Swift and looks like a jack-o-lantern that was granted a wish to be a human guitar-playing boy.

Open commentary for Wiki users / editors: Must we? I mean, really? There was no reason to bring up that finale death in the midseason notes. There's no reason to do a lot of the stuff you guys do. I remember clear back.... god... more than a decade ago... when I was watching BtVS for the first time and wanted to look up information on Xander because I was trying to figure out where he was in relation to past events. Innocent, right? Just don't read past a certain point, and you're probably in the clear. Nope. What's the photo they have running for the page itself? Late season 7 Xander. Who looks a very specific way. And so that surprise was lost on me.
You know what would be really stupid? Someone having a late-S7 Xander forum avatar for over two years, inadvertently spoiling the character's look for anyone who hasn't finished the show. What a jerk that guy would be.

I can't say I wasn't thinking that when I read that paragraph, Jeremy.
When I joined the forum, that was the avatar you had and I was not yet done Buffy. That said, I think I defaulted to "oh it's a Halloween costume", which to be fair it was at one point.

See, when I joined the forum (somewhere around the late Cretaceous Period), all the members had watched Buffy in its entirety, some at least two or three times. Spoilers were never a problem. But times change.

Reports circulating that Andrew Lincoln will be leaving the show after next season, meaning that we soon will no longer have new video of events like Norman Reedus filling the A/C unit in his car with glitter and waiting for him to turn it on.
It's one of those difficulties in long-running live-action series that you don't run into as much in comics or animation.

So, when I get back home and into a streaming-friendly environment (or one where I don't have to pay, rather), I have two goals in the final weeks: One, watch S2 of Legion, which I am looking forward to, and Two, finish off the second half of this season of The Walking Dead.
It's honestly a slog at this point and I've thought of doing it so many times but watching a show with juvenile execution of lofty aspirations is tiresome and I don't have it on good faith that anything's going to get better after this season. With that in mind, if you really want a timeline of the sheer number of power struggles that have gone on in the run, I'd check out this Buzzfeed article, which lays out more than even I was aware of (multiple lawsuits and a stuntman death). I had previously thought of AMC as a benevolent-ish dictator as far as networks went, but it seemed like after their initial successes in TV, they aimed to be really hands-on with this one. Whether the fans or the actors or the writers (whom I probably have the least sympathy for but we all got bills) deserve these outcomes, I think likely not although there were always going to be adaptation challenges with a comic series whose characters age slower than on TV. But if AMC ends up suffering some of the blowback as a result, it really does sound like a good share of the culpability involves them not having control of things they should have and trying to control aspects that weren't as much their business. The only bummer is that Yvette Nicole Brown, aka Shirley Bennett on Community, is taking over for the ousted Chris Hardwick in the Talking Dead aftershow and I would have been delighted to see her with a better setup.
