I just saw the finale of season four and now, getting ready for the final season. I´m already kind of bummed the show is gonna end after this season because this is just so good. Walter White is officially dead and now, we´re watching Heisenberg. I´m shocked Walt had the nerve to poison a kid, an innocent kid, just to get to Gus.
I wonder what´s next. And my curiosity is high because all I read are reviews about how this season is amazing, especially the second half.

If I recall, you started watching this series right around the time it ended. So that means you've been watching at a rate of approximately one episode per month. Most Breaking Bad newcomers tend to tear through the show in about two or three weeks (at most).
In today's binge-watching era, some folks could probably learn from your example.

The problem is that I don´t have much time or I have other things to watch or do. But if I have a lot of free time, I can definitively binge-watch. I binge-watched season 1, 2 and 3 of House of Cards while on vacation.
But talking about the final season, what are your thoughts on it?

My thoughts are pretty much the general consensus - the first half of the season is okay, and the second half is fantastic.
I do wish cable shows would stop "splitting" their final seasons (or ordering two final seasons when only one is necessary), but the business model is what it is.

Hey, I kept saying this season of The Americans would be a drag. No one listens to me.

So... there's apparently going to be a Breaking Bad movie? With Vince Gilligan producing? Because... some things are never allowed to end?
(Okay, I'm intrigued, at least.)

They're just gonna play Ozymandias on the big screen, and say it's the series finale now.

Instead of getting into spoilers on Quiara's thread, I thought I'd tweak this old one (since it may be a while before some folks see the movie).
So, thoughts on El Camino? I thought it was pretty good, and a nice coda to the series. More detailed thoughts when I have time to write them (but please share your own).

Better Call Saul returns February 23!
Oh, and so much for my "detailed thoughts" on El Camino...

I watched El Camino! I do not have detailed thoughts on it. It was kind of what I expected, a sort of reunion project without any particular substance to it.
I will also watch Better Call Saul, which will not make up for the inevitable uproar of the CT community when I leave it off my best of the decade list.

Well, I mean, how big is your list? A Top 10? A Top 20? There are a lot of good shows out there, so I hardly think anyone here will take offense if it doesn't make a list of 20.
Excluding it from a list of, say, 50 might be pushing it a bit. But whatever...we like what we like. It's not like The Leftovers would make my, say, Top 30.

I think the main question is, what could El Camino have been other than a reunion project without any particular substance to it, given that every possible established antagonist Jesse could have faced is dead by "Felina"? (Lalo presumably dies in a later season of Better Call Saul.) Given BB's skill at creating villains, I think they could have done way better than... um... Bill Weld, or whatever cage guy was named.

I went out of El Camino just asking "but why though?"
It felt very much like it was created with no reason to exist...because yup.
