I was thinking about Christophe Beck's score for Buffy, and how great that is, and wondered if he did anything else. Turns out he's done a lot. Like, a lot a lot - including both Frozen films. But you know, Christophe Beck wasn't the only composer on Buffy. He only came in for the second season. Before that, the music for BTVS was composed by a guy named Walter Murphy. If that name looks familiar, it's likely because he spent the past two decades composing the theme song and score for a much, much different show. Or perhaps you've heard of him because twenty years ago, he had a number one hit on the Billboard charts...

I didn't realize that "A Fifth of Beethoven" was, for whatever reason, used as the theme music for Mrs. America? Which means that Family Guy and Mrs. America both had their theme songs written by the same man, who also wrote music for Buffy.
Small world.

Also, "A Fifth of Beethoven" was once featured in a memorable scene on Family Guy. So it all comes full circle, kinda.
