As some of you will know, I've nearly always taken part in the IMDb October Challenge, which has since relocated to Facebook in the wake of IMDb's forum closure.
This might be my last attempt at it, and as such I've drawn up a pool of about fifty titles to see over the month (thirty-one is the requirement), and figured you guys might be interested in what I'm seeing.
Some people are drawing up small reviews for their entries but believe it or not, I've got IRL stuff to attend to, however I am happy to talk to anyone who enquires about particular titles. I will naturally update as I go along:

* and that rating may or may not include a bonus point for the most rubbish robot I've seen since Logan's Run
** deserving the actual 'scary clown' accolade that's been wrongly bestowed upon It
*** you'd think the Nazi zombie sub-genre would bear a bit more (rotten) fruit
**** nice to finally identify that sample at the start of "Bedlam" by Gurd. Incidentally there isn't any bloodsucking in the film, though there is some cannibalism
***** I know that most slashers permit a Freudian reading, but if you ever wanted to make a horror movie about the existential terror of coming out of the closet in the '80s, don't bother. It's already here.
****** pronounced more like "Igor" than like a Wilhelm scream
******* these movies contain about 500% fewer zombies and sharks respectively than you might expect
