Kinda expected reactions so far. Season 4 does have a few turns left that I think make things at least a little more interesting than Season 3 did.

Yeah like I'm amazed just how little I am enjoying this end of the world plot.
I don't even like the Wesley/Lilah stuff which is supposedly the best part of the season!! Agh. Well, at least Angelus is coming back apparently?
EDIT: I take that back, they're acting like Angel and Angelus are completely different people which is the exact opposite of the reasons Angelus is so great. Auauauauaauauauagh.

"Habeas Corpses" - Ewww! "Long Day's Journey" - Zzzzz!!! Why is this season of television so long? Agreed, agreed, and it's the standard episode order for broadcast networks. Are you (or the mysterious Mail Robot) going to repost your previous reviews?

Nah... Mail Robot is an angel (NO PUN INTENDED), not a beast of burden. And I'm too lazy to repost all those li'l guys. I'm probably not going to go super in-depth on these write-ups either, since they're not awesome except as a retrospective thing. You know what I've been thinking? It would be pretty cool if I did video reviews of Angel. Meant for first-time viewers skeptical of the show, but with goodies for people who know how the entire show is going to turn out. And I don't have DVD rips, so I'd just draw all the key scenes of each episode with Sharpie. Like an off-brand Passion of the Nerd, albeit with cute lipstick and less Sony Vegas prowess and also I would hate most of the episodes I'm reviewing. Actually, the way I'm describing it makes it sound more like GradeAUnderA, except with cute lipstick and not gross. Which is fine I guess. Is there interest in that?

That does sound cool, though if you really wanted to go to all that trouble, I would have thought you'd want to do a show you like more. But that's just me.

Honestly, I'd mostly be interested because it's a show Bosc Quiara isn't that fond of. I think that would lend itself to be quite funny.

Well, there's funny, and then there's relentlessly snarky, and there's already an overabundance of the latter on the Internet.

True. It depends on how she approaches it. I can see it working well for the first two seasons, where the material is still fairly good but there's still a lot for a feminist to pick fun at.

My main trepidation is that I'm not aware of any video series' that review every episode of a show that the creator doesn't like very much, and it seems difficult to sustain.

I am appreciating the total show of support here! Video essays have always sort of lingered at the back of my mind, but I've never given them serious consideration !!!!!!!! That is such a flattering comparison! But not incredibly accurate because I don't own a decent video camera, so I'd be scanning my sharpie drawings and talking over those. s you might recall I am a pretty decent artist. Honestly, I'd mostly be interested because it's a show Bosc Quiara isn't that fond of. I think that would lend itself to be quite funny. Well, there's funny, and then there's relentlessly snarky, and there's already an overabundance of the latter on the Internet. Yeah, I'd be heavily critical of the show but try to moderate my snark (or at the very least limit it to the crudity of my caricatures). Last thing I want to do is become I Hate Everything. My main trepidation is that I'm not aware of any video series' that review every episode of a show that the creator doesn't like very much, and it seems difficult to sustain. This is a very sensible anxiety, hence why I am putting this on the backburner while I finish the series. Dedicating years of my life to video reviews of a serious I don't like seems like a fool's errand. But I am a fool, damnit!!

Last thing I want to do is become I Hate Everything. I have very mixed feelings about I Hate Everything... I like his "Search for the Worst" videos pretty well and I appreciate that he's generally willing to give credit where it's due rather than just indiscriminately railing everything, but his "I Hate [insert topic here]" videos get on my nerves. He tends to just complain about things that don't affect him at all that he doesn't understand and doesn't bother to properly research, and then gets mad when people call him out on it. That said, perhaps before jumping into five season of Angel videos, you could positively review some underappreciated short gems instead, like Dollhouse or The Middleman?

Ah, but if I wanted to review an underappreciated gem of a show, especially one with strong theme and characterization and a run of under sixty episodes, I already have an outlet for posting about it...

Apart from the Cordelia/Connor stuff, I actually love Habeas Corpses. This season has its flaws but I kinda like the whole gloom and doom feel of the season and of this episode. But maybe, that´s just me. I don´t know.
And how can you not love Wes and Lilah together?
