Strange as it may sound, I've never actually watched a full episode of Rocko's Modern Life. It's probably the only '90s Nickelodeon series which holds that distinction. The brief clips I've seen of it were sporadically funny, although they could get surprisingly, em, risque for a kids' cartoon. "oh bay-bee... oh bay-bee... oh bay-bee..."

Funnily enough, I actually mentioned Rocko's Modern Life in the Blog post I'm currently writing. The show is suddenly everywhere! Also, Disney really wants people to watch the new DuckTales premiere - not only are they airing it fourteen kazillion times, but they've even uploaded it to YouTube.

Well, if it's on YouTube, I may as well take a crack at it. To be honest, I wasn't aware that DuckTales had the mass following that it did, both here and abroad, but it's hard for me to place my own allegiances. I really started to pay attention around the TailSpin and Rescue Rangers era, but probably remember Darkwing Duck the most. Even then, these aren't the shows that I get nostalgia pangs over.

The original DuckTales aired before my time, but I watched reruns on Fox Kids during the late '90s. So there's definitely a nostalgia factor for me. Less so with the other Disney Afternoon shows, although Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers were a lot of fun.

I always forget Gargoyles was a Disney property. I'd rate that one pretty highly too.

As would I. Great show. Although I've still not watched The Goliath Chronicles.

Okay, the new DuckTales is slowly growing on me. The humor, pacing and animation all blend together really well, and make for an entertaining and easily watchable show. The constant in-jokes and references to the original series (a la Mystery Incorporated) are also well-done, and don't feel forced on the story.
Webby, as many others have noted, is a highlight, and she may already be my favorite character. The writers have taken the worst character from the original series and completely inverted everything that made her annoying, and turned her into the liveliest part of the show. (She has some obvious Mabel Pines in her DNA, but I'm cool with that, because Mabel rocks.)
I'll be sticking with this series for a while. Anyone else?

Bob's Burgers is getting its own movie!
And hopefully it'll have less annoying animation than the Season Eight premiere.

I've been watching Gravity Falls.
Is Grunkle Stan a Ferengi?

The ears... the voice... the love of money... It all suddenly makes sense!
I think you'll find the show's structure very similar to Mystery Incorporated - two seasons, each split into two acts, with mysteries and tension (and quality) building from start to finish. (Although Gravity Falls has a much better series finale.)

I really like it so far, the writing, animation, and voice acting is all top-notch. I was amazed to find out that Alex Hirsch voices both Stan and Soos, especially since he doesn't have a very extensive acting resume.

Lots of great guest stars throughout the series as well. I particularly love Justin Roiland's role as Blendin Blandin, given the way it (seemingly unintentionally) foreshadows Rick and Morty.

I finished Gravity Falls, and thought it was great. The story, the art, the dialogue, the characters, the humor, the acting, everything. This is a new top ten for me, I think.
My biggest complaint is that I wish Wendy were given more to do. She mostly only appeared as a foil for other characters, but I think she was a strong enough character that she could've gotten at least as much attention as Soos.

It's especially frustrating because Linda Cardellini has the best resume of any of the lead castmembers, yet she's given the least to do. (Though they do develop her a bit more once we got past the "Dipper's secret crush" phase.)
Still, it's a remarkable show, and one which actually succeeds at pulling off a series-long mystery arc. That's rare for any series, much less a cartoon on a kids' network.
How would you say it stacks up against Avatar? I'd say the latter is the better series, but there's really no single half-hour of Avatar that measures up to "Not What He Seems."

But "Sozin's Comet" is definitely better, even if it is a four part movie.
