Leland Palmer as the governor of California might sound crazy, until you remember that California also elected the Terminator. "La Palabra" is now reviewed. I've said this before and I'll say it again: Barry Goldwater biopic with Ray Wise as the lead. (Makes a hell of a lot more sense than Bryan Cranston as LBJ.)

Sure, I'd watch that. I don't think there's ever been a Goldwater biopic - Hollywood tends to gloss over him. (Even Mad Men skips right over the 1964 election.)

This episode is so bad that not even Bolin and the creepy vampire who tortured Angel can save it. "Ninety Miles Away" is now reviewed.

Your savior has at last returned! Not that I've got a god complex or anything. "In Jeremy We Trust" is now reviewed.

If Mr. Fulton can't handle a bunch of singing high school kids at Sharpay's family resort, how do you expect him to chair the DNC? "Things Fall Apart" is now reviewed.

Well, it only took 33 months, but I've finished Season Six! "2162 Votes" is now reviewed.

It's crazy to consider it. I was 19 when I wrote the West Wing pilot review. Now I'm 26 and still making my way through the show.
But finally, there's a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel - one season left! And then I'll have the most comprehensive, detailed analysis of the show on the entire Internet. (Except maybe that podcast with Joshua Malina and Hrishi Hirway... but I'll fight them for the title.)

Yesterday, HBO Max released an hourlong West Wing special that reunites the cast after nearly 15 years. The special is modestly entertaining, but it's largely anodyne and pointless. My thoughts.

Shana Tova, all! Most people set realistic New Year's resolutions, like "exercise more" or "smoke less." My 2021 resolution: Make this the year I finally finish The West Wing. Unrealistic? Perhaps. But I'm up for the challenge. Let's get the final season started. "The Ticket" is now reviewed.

I think I made pretty good time with the first five seasons - it's only Season 6 when other things (finishing college, getting a job, and other nonsense) started getting in the way.
But sure, it's crazy to think how long I've been at this. My initial thought back when I started was that I'd post about one review a week, aiming to be done by the end of 2016. Didn't quite work out that way...

When I was drafting the pilot review (back in August 2013), CT didn't have a blog section. That came at the beginning of 2014, same week I started TWW. And yeah, I've come to rely more on writing those blog articles (as well as film reviews and such), since they can be about virtually any pop-culture topic and take less time to write than episode reviews.
But I do honestly want to finish The West Wing; at this point, leaving some episodes unreviewed would feel cheap.

We're living in stressful times, so thank goodness Janeane Garofalo is here to ease tensions. Hopefully more effectively than she did with Jack Bauer. "The Mommy Problem" is now reviewed.
