Disney princesses have been in the news this week. If you didn't know about this, you're clearly following the wrong kind of news. Anyway, I gave my own two pennies on the conversation sparked by Keira Knightley and Kristen Bell.

A couple years back, I wrote a college essay discussing Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and Blade Runner. Because this forum has a lot of Blade Runner fans, and because this year marks the 50th anniversary of Philip K. Dick's novel, and because I was too busy/lazy to write an original piece this week... here it is.

I finally finished my dreadful state exams, which means I at last have time to write about Ralph Breaks the Internet! The piece is kinda spoilery, but not super-spoilery. Please help it break the Internet.

I wasn't planning to write more than one piece this week, but the recent Oscars/Kevin Hart debacle kind of got under my skin. This article is a little angrier than usual, but on the bright side, that means your amygdyla will probably respond to it more easily. Linkage.

I had a blast watching Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and a whole other blast reviewing it. And the review is generally spoiler-free, true believers!

My schedule has been - wait for it - rather busy in recent weeks, but neither heck nor high water will keep me from reviewing animated Disney films (even when I miss their 10th anniversaries by a few months).

So this started out like a quick and easy idea... but then I wound up writing 2500 words, and this is only the first half. Anyway, here's Part 1 of my Captain Marvel/Shazam history. (Warning: Link contains extreme nerdiness.)

I laughed a lot while watching The Lego Movie 2, but something didn't feel quite right about the film. Here's my review attempting to explain the ups and downs of the latest film in the LCU. (Mostly spoiler-free.)

Glass has been in theaters for nearly a month, and I'm finally going to analyze it. Yep, always count on me for up-to-the-minute critiquing.

Okay, I know 2018 is a couple of months in the rearview. But we're all still wondering - how did it measure up in terms of animated movies? Which ones were great, and which ones were... incredibly not? Thankfully, I now have the answer.

Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I tend to write a lot. And given that I've been in a pretty bad mood since yesterday, I ended up writing another 2,200 words on Shazam! and Captain Marvel (the latter of which hits theaters today). Here's Part II of their history, and I apologize in advance for the headache you'll get from trying to understand it.

Which ones were great, and which ones were... incredibly not? I see what you did there!

Yes, I made a Sports Night reference! That's what you're referring to, I assume.
Also, I realized after posting my Captain Marvel piece that I forgot to mention Kamala Khan. This is quite embarrassing, because she is literally my signature right now. Anyway, I added a paragraph near the end. Just pretend it was always there.

I thought this was a reference to your middling review of Incredibles 2.

It's a variation on an Ainsley Hayes line that popped into my head at that moment.
But if you want to see it as an Incredibles 2 reference, I will take credit for that as well.
