Did that even count as a spoiler?
J.C., I'm not particularly keen on watching Uncut Gems, for the reasons you listed. Just pointing out the weird fact that it's only on Netflix outside the US. (It's not a Netflix-produced film; turns out the streaming service just bought the international distribution rights.)
Anyway, I think you'll quite like the last two Bojack episodes; they certainly send the show out in a memorable way.

Yeah, it absolutely deserved that 'Best of the Decade' award. It did so many things right so consistently it was easy to take it for granted. I first started watching it as a replacement for Rick and Morty, and I was really thinking it came up short, especially comparing the early part of Bojack's first season to Rick and Morty's first and second. I didn't think it was as funny, and its setting seemed rather mundane compared to the insane creativity displayed on Rick and Morty. Silly me, because the show kept getting better and better and better. The characters were great, the animation eventually became great, the humor was great, the subject matter was relevant (hopefully that won't date the show), and unlike Rick and Morty, it kept coming out year after year. I think it's easily one of the best shows of all time, full stop.
Favorite episodes time! Funniest/best comedic Bojack episodes: "Let's Find Out", "See Mr. Peanutbutter Run", "Hooray! Todd Episode!", "Underground", "Planned Obsolescence", "Mr. Peanutbutter's Boos", "Surprise!".
Best dramatic Bojack episodes: "The Telescope", "Downer Ending", "After the Party", "Escape From LA", "Fish Out of Water",", "Stop the Presses", "Best Thing That Ever Happened", "It's You", "That's Too Much Man!", "That Went Well", "The Old Sugarman Place", "Stupid Piece of Sh*t", "Ruthie", "Time's Arrow", "The Amelia Earheart Story", "Free Churro", "INT SUB", "Head in the Clouds", "The Showstopper", "The Stopped Show", "The Face of Depression", "Good Damage", "Xerox of a Xerox", "The View From Halfway Down", "Nice While it Lasted". Wow, I may have just listed like 1/4 of the show there. I regret nothing. In fact, I could have added about 10 more episodes to that list.
My top 5 is rather obvious I suspect: 5)-"That's Too Much Man!"4)-"Free Churro"3)-"Time's Arrow"2)-"The View From Halfway Down"1)-"Fish Out of Water"
Season Grades: Season 1-B+ Season 2: A- Season 3: A Season 4: A Season 5: A Season 6: A-
Ranked: 3>5>4>2>6>1

Though I sympathize with people who are a bit irritated by spoilerphobes.

Oh, I already watched the last two eps on Tuesday night. I agree it finished strong. And I wouldn't argue with anyone declaring it the best series of the past decade. I just wish it wasn't such a chore to explain to the uninitiated. It's like BtVS all over again, in the "I assure you this ostensibly silly premise has substance" vein.

Plus the whole 'stick with it through Season 1, I swear it's good.' As if no show they like has ever had a rocky first season before.......

Yeah. I mean, Seinfeld and The Simpsons are prime examples.

"Stick with it, it gets good" has become a poisonous argument in the Peak TV era. But at least you can point to all the great reviews Bojack has received in its later seasons if you want to counter the claim that it's just a dumb talking-animal cartoon.
(Not to discount the animal-based jokes, which for all their cheese factor can be hilarious.)

I was just watching a video with Raphael Bob-Waksberg, who explained that they put the stupid jokes in there because they knew their voice cast was just that damn good.

I should add that I was reminded of all the great animal gags while reading this. (Worth remembering that the series preceded Zootopia.)
